Steel is 100% reusable and approximately 20% of the steel consists of recycled material. The paint is completely chrome free. In production, a substantial portion of solvents has been replaced with rapeseed oil and other renewable alternatives.
GreenCoat Pro BT steel is manufactured according to the Bio-based Technology patent. In BT coatings, where a substantial portion of the traditional fossil oil is replaced by Swedish rapeseed oil, which is unique on the market.
GreenCoat® is a brand from SSAB of innovative and environmentally friendly coloured steel solutions ideal for roofs. Lindab is an official partner appointed by SSAB for the GreenCoat® brand and its products.
GreenCoat Pro BT is a structured steel with a 36 micron thick high build polyester coating. By adding polyamide beads to the paint, the coating is more scratch and weather resistant compared to a standard PE25. The roofing coils can be supplied in a range of colours in matte or glossy finishes with corresponding rainwater systems and FAP material for flashings also available.

GreenCoat Pro BT has a proven high build polyester coating which has been used by Lindab for over 20 years. Rust protection underneath the coating is a Z275, which means 275g zinc per m², it is double sided with a coating thickness of 20 micron per side. GreenCoat PLX high build polyester coating has greater durability than standard polyester and is supplied with foil for extra protection during installation.
